Chapter 7 -A Life Of Lies

Nicki's P.O.V


It had been 2 and a half weeks since Candi started getting her memory back she was doing so much better, and today she was being released from the hospital. As for me and Safaree things have been on edge lately, I don't know what's wrong with him but I don't like the way he's been acting towards me and the babies lately. He has been on the phone a lot lately and would hurry to hang up when he heard me coming, I don't know what it is but I keep getting this eerie feeling that he's hiding something big from me and it won't let up. All I know is he's acting strange and I'm going to get to the bottom of it.

Safaree was down stairs on the couch watching t.v and eating chips when he heard Nicki coming down the stairs. Nicki looked at Safaree and kept walking to the kitchen, he knew she had to be upset at him for acting strange lately. Safaree huffed and got up to go talk to her and tell her exactly how he felt and whats been bothering him. See what everybody didn't know was that Safaree already had a child. He had a son right before Nicki released her first album. Safaree wasn't dating Janet they just messed around a few times and he ended up getting her pregnant a month into knowing her. She was one of his close friends cousin, he thought he knew her but what he didn't know is that she was experimenting with drugs while she was pregnant. Janet made it to 29 weeks when she gave birth to their baby boy, she had a lot of complications while giving birth. They named their son Zion, he weighed 3lbs 12oz. Little Zion was having a hard time breathing so they took him directly to the NICU. (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) In the end the hospital did everything they could to save him but his little heart could take the pressure of trying to breath. Zion died that night in Safaree arms Friday, May 21. Safaree never told Nicki about Janet, he simply would tell her he was going out with the boy's when he would take her to the doctor's. The day Janet went into labor he told her his boy got into a bad car wreck. Now Nicki and SB wasn't a couple but they were seeing each other for a few months but hadn't made it exclusive. Safaree walked into the kitchen and sat on the stool and watched Nicki walk around looking for something to eat.

"Nicki come here, we need to talk"

Nicki rolled her eyes and spoke

"Safaree just say what you need to say, I don't need to be sitting by you just for me to listen. I'm not dumb u cock!"

"NICKI WOULD YOU JUST COME SIT DOWN, DAMN IT'S NOT THAT HARD!"

Safaree yelled causing Nicki to look at him like he was stupid and had two heads. Nicki spoke softly and said

"Safaree if you don't chill the fuck out we going to have a problem, so watch yourself cause you stepping on high grounds"

Safaree sighed and spoke

"Onika please just come sit down, we need to talk" he said sternly

Nicki walked over to the island and stood on the opposite side and stared right in Safaree eyes

"I'm right here so start fucking speaking"

Nicki said coldly. Safaree couldn't do nothing but shake his head, he knew his wife was stubborn and he knew this was going to be one of the hardest conversations he has ever had to have with her.

"Cai would you get in this house!"

"Yo mom if you don't get out my face and go sit down somewhere, shit i'm tired of you telling me what to do. I'm damn near grown"

Macaiah was getting out of hand, it was getting to the point to where he wasn't going to school or even coming home some nights. He was always out with this older crowd and the hoe's of the block. They were always into something mischievous, stealing from the store's or vandalizing buildings. Cai had already got caught once but they let him off with a warning, but if he got caught again he was going to jail. Mama Carol was feed up, no matter what kind of punishment she gave him he would still do as he felt.

"MACAIAH IF YOU DON'T GET IN THIS HOUSE YOU WILL HAVE HELL TO PAY!"

Cai was beyond heated. Did this hoe really just call my government, she must be out her fucking mind embarrassing me in front of my crew. He looked at his crew and told them he would be right back out.

"Let me go get her ass straight and i'll be back out" he said as he walked away slapping a few hoe's on the butt and walked into the house. Soon as he stepped foot in the house he was hit in the arm with a house shoe. Mama Carol stood there hitting him with her house shoe. He think he can keep disrespecting me like i'm not the one who brought him to this world, i'll be damned if i let any child of mind get away with that. She didn't realize she was still hitting him till he hit the floor and tucked into a ball taking cover from the licks she was serving him.

"If you ever try me like that again i will hurt you. I don't know what's gotten into you but you better find a way to get it out cause i'm not having it in my house anymore. Do you hear me?"

"Yes ma'am" he simply stated and went to his room. Mama Carol knew this wasn't the end.

Safaree looked at his wife and shook his head, he looked her in the eyes and down to her belly. He couldn't believe he was going to tell her about Zion. He knew this was going to change everything.

"Nicki look, i know you're mad at me for the way i've been acting but i've been really stressed lat-" Nicki cut him off

"Safaree you act like you the only one stressed, i'm the one carrying your kids not one but two! Do you think about that, do you think you acting like a child is any help to the situation? Huh do you? No i didn't think so. All you're doing is thinking about is yourself being selfish!"

"Onika would you just let me finish, please this is already hard for me"

Nicki just looked at him as he let a tear escape, she nodded her head towards him telling him to continue. He released a sigh and spoke

 "I've been keeping a secret from you and i know you are going to be mad but i just want you to know why i've been acting this way lately."

Nicki was starting to get really worried and scared, she could tell this was going to be something huge. Am i ready for whatever he is about to tell me? Should i sit down like he told me to? Damn is it really that bad? She looked up to see him hang his head


"Well what the hell is it?" she asked as she took a seat

"This wont be the first time im going to be a father"

"Safaree what the hell are you talking about, you don't have no other kids stop fucking playing so much"

"Your right, i don't have no other kids but i did have a child. I had a son, he died the same day he was born" as tears began to escape and collapse down his cheeks. Nicki was boiling she knew this wasn't one of his jokes.

"YOU FUCKING CHEATED ON ME SAFAREE, IS THAT WHAT YOU'RE TELLING ME?"

"No babe, we wasn't together"

"WELL WHEN THE HELL DID YOU HAVE TIME TO HAVE A BABY WITH SOMEONE ELSE SAFAREE, WE BEEN TOGETHER FOR MORE THEN 10 YRS"

"Nicki i would never cheat on you, it was before we were dating before you put Pink Friday out."

Nicki eyes got buck, she was beyond pissed. She was hurt, felt betrayed.

"SO YOU WAS OUT FUCKING SOME HOE WHILE I WAS RECORDING MY ALBUM! YOU WAS FUCKING CHEATING SAFAREE, WE WAS SEEING EACH OTHER THEN. WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT TO ME? YOU'RE JUST LIKE ANY OTHER MAN I FUCKED WITH... A CHEATER!"

She spat coldly.

"Calm down with all that other nigga shit Nicki, i didn't cheat.  You are the best thing to have happen to me. You are my wife and soon to be the mother of my children, i would never try to hurt you. I love you so much, i'm sorry please forgive me"

"SAFAREE GET YOUR SHIT AND GET THE HELL OUT OF MY HOUSE!"

"Onika babe please you need me here... i want to be here"

"Safaree leave" he looked at her grabbed his keys and left.

Nicki was crying her eyes out and holding her stomach, she couldn't believe what she just heard. The man she loved so much. The man she thought she knew everything about. The man she married and was about to be the mother of his children, had lead her to live A Life Of Lies.




*hides* Guys dont hurt me, i know its been a LONG time since i posted but i dont really have fun writing anymore. Im really thinking about just cutting the story once i get to 10 chapters.  NEhoe how did u like the chapter, do u want to kill me? LOL. So go ahead and tell me wut u think in that white box!
